Consultancy

Marketing and sales departments tend to work in silos, and bridging that gap with internal processes to increase communication between teams is key.

What does an engagement with Grade A look like?

When you work with Grade A, you will work directly with Amanda on a retainer agreement for a monthly bundle of hours dedicated to your business in order to execute an agreed-upon scope of work.

Marketing should always work in tandem with sales and public relations, so Grade A applies a hybrid approach to each engagement. Beginning with an assessment of your goals, Amanda crafts an action plan that pulls together the elements you actually need, while leveraging your existing resources.

Who is a good candidate to work with Grade A?

Organizations with robust internal marketing and sales functions that are not performing to their best abilities.

Organizations with a strong sales team, but a weaker marketing team

Organizations with a strong marketing team, but a weaker sales team.

Organizations looking to hold routine strategy or troubleshooting discussions with a CMO who brings extensive sales, marketing, and PR experience to the table.

Maximize your results by harmonizing marketing and sales.

Grade A finds opportunities to unify your company’s marketing and sales efforts to drive revenue. For example, both the sales and marketing functions of an organization need to work together to create persuasive marketing materials that will aid in closing a sale. If the sales team is not consulted (which most of the time they are not), then you run the very high risk that the collateral created and designed by the marketing team alone will not be useful to the sales team members who are “on the ground” talking to prospective clients day in and day out.

A Liiiitle Bit About Me

I started Grade A Marketing in Dec. 2010 as a way for small businesses to have access to the same marketing services as larger organizations. In 2013, Grade A evolved to provide localized marketing for National and International brands in the DC Metro Area. And now, residing in South Florida, I am pleased to offer both fractional CMO services AND full-scale digital marketing and design.

Growing up in St. Louis, MO, I was fascinated with media and communications. I began my professional journey in those fields as an intern with CBS affiliate, KMOV-TV. Along with gaining experience in broadcast, writing, and programming, I served as a hand model (move over George Costanza) and on-screen commercial talent.

In 2001, I moved to Washington, DC to attend George Washington University and held positions at a political media firm, DC 101.1 – a Clear Channel station, WB-DC TV (now CW), and Fleishman Hillard International PR.

After graduating with honors in Communication, I decided to try my hand at sales (instead of sticking with Marketing or PR) because, well... Sales pays. I started at a telecommunication competitive local exchange carrier to sell voice and data services to businesses all over the DC, Maryland, and Virginia. I quickly became a pro at Mapquest and a top sales performer which led a team member to anoint me with the nickname, Grade A.

Before starting my business, I also worked as Sales and Marketing Director for an orthotics and prosthetics company and Sales and Operations Director at an executive suite company (similar to what’s now known as a coworking space) managing 4 offices, over 350 clients, 2 receptionist teams and one sales team.
